I use my car as a blind when taking pictures of Snowy Owls taking full advantage of the super telephoto lens with the 2x extender. As a result the owls, and other subjects, are quite relaxed and act normally. For this particular shot I patiently watched as the owl preened itself and as a result I have an image that shows the seldom seen beak and talons complimented with a nice perch.
